What is the truth about hair Grade AAAAAAAA+

I have researched human hair for many years and I traveled around the world including India and Brazil. Here is some of what we learned. There is NO human hair exported from Brazil or Peru, Mongolia or the Philippines Islands and no hair from these women exist anywhere in the world for sale, or any other women from any other country that is not mostly Hindu. Only Hindu’s shave their heads as a religious practice. Have you ever seen a bald headed Brazilian or Filipino woman?
You can’t even find a picture of one on the internet.

Hindu women go to the temples and shave their heads as a sacrifice to the Hindu Gods, then they offer the sacrifice of their beautiful long flowing locks of hair to the Hindu Gods as a gift of submission to the Hindu Gods in the hope that the Gods will bless them and their families with long life and prosperity. Then the Temple authority (church leaders) auctions thousands of kilos of raw human hair every three month to only authorised manufacturers who take the raw bulk hair to their processing factories for processing and resale to wholesale distributors.
The Temple leaders donate almost all the money they take in to local charities in their communities. That’s right, they don’t run off with the money, they use the money for things like school books and medicine to help their people. Indian Temple hair is the best quality hair available, period!

Here is what I learned from our direct supplier in India. What is sold worldwide as Brazilian, Peruvian, Philippine or any other Asian women hair is really Indian origin.

90% of all human hair sole worldwide begins its journey and is produced in India, not China.

So if it’s almost all Indian hair, why do they call it Brazilian, Peruvian and all those other names?  The answer to that question is simple. It’s all made up, to make you think you are getting something different, something more exotic.

All concocted by smart Chinese hair merchants to get you to keep spending more money on lower grades of Indian hair that they package and send to you with those other names on the packages. Think about it, how is it you can buy Brazilian hair from hundreds of suppliers in China, but not one hair supplier from Brazil? Those Chinese hair merchants must be laughing all the way to the bank, and why not, most people don’t even know where the hair they buy even comes from.

Furthermore, Chinese hair is unsuitable for weaving and braiding, Indian hair offers the best quantity of hair because they are mostly Hindu and because these women grow long length beautiful flowing natural straight, wavy and curly variations.

BEWARE! Human hair is also collected from villages all over India from combs and from dead people collected in trash barrels then sold to Chinese merchants for pennies, who wash and process the hair to sell to you. This hair will be stripped of there cuticles and covered with silicone. Stop the madness.

hand-tied weft vs. machine weft

A hand-tied weft is essentially a seam that holds all of the base ends of the hair together and is manually woven into the weave by a human and custom attention is given to each weave whereas a machine weft is hair that is fed into a machine and weaved tightly into the seam, this happens in a manner similar to that of the sewing machine.

So what are the benefits of a hand-tied weft?

Firstly, the hand-tied weft is usually significantly slimmer than the standard machine-tied weft and the slimmer the weft the easier it is to hide and less-likely for someone to detect if they touch your head. Hair that is machine-wefted tends to be bulkier because the weave itself needs to be hefty so the machine can get a good enough hold of the hair. This is an important factor because no-one wants anyone to see or feel their weave; it is the horrid tell sign of hair extensions.

Secondly, another great benefit of hand-tied hair extensions is that the hair on a hand-tied weft is much more securely attached to the weft. This means that each strand of hair will remain attached to the weft much longer than their counterparts which are machine-sewn. Hair from hand-tied wefts does not shred because of this and therefore the hair extensions last longer. They don't thin out like machine-wefted hair extensions therefore have a much longer life span.

The Limitations of hand-tied wefts

We recommended that you don´t cut the weft; you have to use the whole piece without cutting it. If the weft exceeds the needed length of the targeted track, then merely fold over the end and double-up the weft to the length that is needed. If the hand-tied weft gets cut, the weft will unravel.

Our hand-tied wefts come in strips which are usually  in 10-inch widths (from one end of the weft to the other end), so there is no need to double up, but if you do have to do so the end result is still a fairly flat finish.

Despite these limitations we highly recommend hand-tied wefts, we are specialists in hand-tying and knotting and have taken the craft to a whole new level. Anyone who sees our beautifully made wefts agree that they are truly an art form. Our wefts are strong, secure, and don't shed or become hard and sticky.

Where does the hair comes from?

We as a hair company partially own our own factory in India, that exclusively supplies HumanHairTraders with the highest grade of natural and unprocessed, Indian human hair. It is sourced from temples in South Indian, donated by religious woman who cut their hair as sacrifice, devoting to god.

Authentic Indian hair, as the name implies, comes from India. Because of the large Hindu population that practices Tonsure, there is a relatively large supply of human hair originating from India. Tonsure is the act of cutting the hair from the scalp of devotees as a symbol of their renunciation of worldly fashion and esteem. The temples that collect this hair then auction the hair to local Indian companies who then process and sell it for its fashionable use. While some may question the ethics of this practice, the proceeds of the hair are invested in the local temple community. More importantly, this religious tradition has been going on long before the hair in India was actually sold. Devotees make a completely voluntary donation for personal and spiritually motivated reasons.

Why Indian Hair?

Indian hair is highly regarded in the hair industry primarily because of its flexibility, durability, and rich texture. Indian hair is naturally thick and full bodied, so it gives the best possible styling and installation options for extensions. The hair is also naturally dark, so it works very well with most braiding and weaving applications.

What is Bulk (loose) Hair?

Bulk hair is loose unwefted hair that is commonly used for braiding or to create unique hair extension styles.

What is a Weft and Wefted Hair?

Wefts serve the purpose of a binding matrix for hair. There are numerous type of wefts, but they all work by locking loose hair into a matrix that can be sewn or glued onto the scalp. Our machine wefts are thin and durable proventing shedding.

What is Virgin Indian hair?

Virgin Indian Remy hair is widely considered to be the highest quality of human hair used for extensions and weaves. Virgin means that it has never been chemical processes, nor has it ever been colored, dyed, or permed. This hair is the healthiest as Indian woman taking great pride and care in their hair. All Virgin hair is Remy but not all Remy hair is Virgin.

What is Remy Indian hair (commonly known as cuticle hair)?

The term Remy is used exclusively for hair which has maintained the outer cuticle layer, all cuticles are aligned in one direction. The cuticle layer is critically important when it comes to hair tangling, longevity, volume, and how luminously the hair shines.

BEWARE: Most human hair sold in the hair extensions industry undergo a cuticle-stripping process called an acid-bath. Then, a silicone is placed over the cuticles to give the hair a faux shine and smooth appearance. This silicone wears off when the hair is washed, therefore, the cuticles are disturbed and return back to their unruly state, causing the hair to mat and tangle easily. Remy hair does not mat or tangle because all the cuticles are aligned and intact without the use of silicone.

What is the difference between Virgin and Non-Virgin extension hair?

Virgin hair extensions are free from any chemical processing. Non-virgin hair has been in some way processed to achieve its texture, feel and or shine. Virgin hair is in its natural state from the time it was cut from the donor. Virgin hair will look and feel natural, and act just as your natural hair would. It responds well to color, it can be washed, curled, flat ironed, and with proper care it will outlast non-virgin hair. It doesn’t come in a rainbow of colors; virgin hair is the same color as the donor's head of hair. Usually if it looks too perfect or too glossy, it’s not virgin hair. All Virgin hair is Remy but not all Remy hair is Virgin.

Hair Care

Daily care and maintenance is extremely important for your hair extensions. Just like your own hair, it is fragile and needs love and attention. For long extensions, get in the habit of either braiding or plaiting your hair before bed and tying it with a silk scarf or headband. Conditioning shampoos are great as well as hair masques with natural ingredients like  Argan Oil, Shea Butter or Avocado Oil.

How do I look after my hair extensions?

Treat your Hair Extensions the same as you would treat your own hair.

As a rule, if you would not do it to your own hair, do not do it with your extensions if you want them to last.

  1. Wash, condition and MOISTURIZE (very important) your hair every 2 - 3 days. The extensions do not receive your natural scalp oils and so need to have moisture added every wash. If you don't moisturize your hair extensions they will become brittle and break easily leading to split and ratty ends. We recommend a good moisturizer for Hair Extensions.
  2. Treat them with respect. They will not grow back if you yank at them with a brush, burn them with the blow dryer, and kill them with chemicals. Be nice to them - they cost a lot of money so make sure you get your money's worth.
  3. Always brush out all knots before you wash your hair, swim, or sleep. Start at the bottom and work your way up slowly using a paddle brush.
  4. Make sure you wash in between the strands to keep your scalp clean and free of bacteria.

Can I dye the hair?

Yes, our pure Virgin Indian hair is unprocessed and can be professionally coloured to any custom colour. Pre-colored hair has already been processed. Double processing the hair will lead to premature shedding and dryness.

Can I bleach the hair?

Yes. It is best to have it done by a professional. We do not recommend trying it yourself for the first time.

Can the curly hair be straightened?

Yes, all of our virgin curly Indian hair can be straightened.

Can I use hot iron?

Yes, you can style our Virgin Indian hair much like your own hair with flat irons or curling irons, so switching up your look is relatively easy. However you need to be careful with the amount of heat you place on the extensions - high temperatures will damage the weave just as it would damage your hair.

How often should I wash my hair?

We recommend washing your hair at least twice a week. It is important not to sleep on wet hair.

What products should I use on the hair?

When shampooing and conditioning the hair we recommend using gentle and nourishing products with essential oils. HumanHairTarders recommends PÚ_REE all natural Hair Extension Care with organic Argan Oil.

Is there anything else I should know about the hair?

It is important to know that there are variations in the texture of all Virgin hair. Because the hair is Virgin, which means it is mostly untouched, it is only gently washed with low intensity shampoos and air dried before shipment. As such you may notice some variance in the lengths at the end, as well as some static build up from shipping. While there is a length variance, we guarantee the length to be equal to or above what you order. With regards to any static build up or at typical curl patterns, once you wash your new hair with a quality moisturizing shampoo and conditioner you will see the radiance of the hair. We suggest using a protein enriched formula for the first washing (PÚ_REE Conditioning Shampoo with organic Argan Oil and cashmere protein).
